Freedman Brown masterminded a regional and national media campaign throughout Wales for pioneering broadband provider eXwavia - delivering high speed broadband and Next Gen facilities to rural areas.

Seen as a role model for the industry and working alongside government agencies, eXwavia focused on the Welsh Assembly grant assistance scheme for customers to enable them to get broadband at a competitive and affordable price.

The campaign, spearheaded by eXwavia Managing Director Annette Burgess, resulted in a barrage of positive media coverage. The tailor made campaign also targeted radio and TV and utlilised social media. Freedman Brown developed a series of hard hitting case studies across Wales and the Isle of Anglesey with inspirational stories from farming and rural communities and the business sector. eXwavia also sponsored many local business initiatives including The Anglesey Tourism Awards, the main Anglesey Showground and the famous Cardiff Blues rugby team. The company also worked alongside government ministers, including Edwina Hart, to help spread the culture of broadband provision as a right rather than a need.

A combination of PR and marketing tactics helped eXwavia forge its reputation as a world class company building a world class IT network for the people of Wales.
